Joseph Volpicelli, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Volpicelli graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in 1981 and completed his residency there in 1985. Since then he has spent the last twenty-five years as a pioneer in clinical research, education, and practice. Throughout this time, he was an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and Senior Scientist at the Pennsylvania VA Center for Research on Addictive Disorders. Dr. Volpicelli is also the author of "Recovery Options: The Complete Guide" and "Combining Medication and Psychosocial Treatments for Addictions: The Brenda Approach."

Dr. Volpicelli has lead the way in the integration of medications with psychotherapy support to treat addictions. His research on the use of Naltrexone led to the first new medication to be approved by the FDA for alcohol treatment in nearly fifty years.

Stephen Volpicelli, Esq., CEO and General Counsel

Stephen L. Volpicelli is a practicing attorney with an active commercial practice. His practice is limited to corporate representation, real estate, and finance. With more than thirty years of experience in the field, Mr. Volpicelli counsels healthcare institutions on all aspects of real estate, development, finance, and venture capital. His practice includes acquisitions and dispositions; commercial and retail leasing; construction and permanent real estate finance; and condominiums and common ownership associations.

Before forming Stephen L. Volpicelli, LLC, Mr. Volpicelli was chairman of the real estate department at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads. He also served as a partner with Dechert, Price and Rhoads as well as Garfinkel & Volpicelli. Mr. Volpicelli taught graduate real estate law at Temple University and regularly is featured as a presenter for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, National Business Institute, and Sterling Educational Servies Continuing Legal Education programs.

Mr. Volpicelli maintains the highest attorney rating from Martindale Hubbell and is listed in their Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers. He is an active member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Montgomery County Bar Associations.

Mr. Volpicelli graduated from Albright College in 1966 and Dickinson School of Law in 1969. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New York and has been admitted to all Pennsylvania courts and New York and the United States Supreme Court. An avid Civil War historian and re-enactor, Mr. Volpicelli lives in Gwynned Valley, Pennsylvania. His offices are located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
